Groups

We currently have one public group trip option available: Ponant L'austral Dublin Roundtrip Circumnavigation of the Emerald Isle, May 25. The group trip was originally for those who took COVID precautions or were immunocompromised, but since we will not be chartering the whole vessel, cabins are available to anyone.

Custom Group Requirements

Custom Group Requirements

In order to work with you to create a custom group trip, the following requirements must be met:

  1. All groups must have a group leader (see FAQ below for more info about group leaders).

  2. If the group trip leader decides not to go, the group trip is cancelled.

  3. If you would like to use my Facebook group and social media to advertise the trip, you will get one courtesy post (including a free Google survey) before any fee is paid to see if there is any interest. After a week, I will report my findings to you. At that point, if I believe there is not sufficient interest, in an effort not waste my time or your money, I may decide not to continue. 

  4. The group leader must pay the group leader's fees before I make a proposal and do any significant research. They must also sign my group leader contract. These fees are non-refundable, even if the trip does not go. See below for fee information.

  5. All participants must agree to the group contract. Group leaders must also agree to the group leader contract and planning fees. You can find a sample of these documents here. 

  6. Unless the group leader decides to pay on one card and/or pay the deposit fee, I will only contact accommodations that can be reserved for free. Unfortunately, this means that a lot of boutique hotels or home rentals are out of the equation.
     

Fees

Group Leader Fees

  • IF you already know who will be joining you on the group trip and have a verbal agreement, you will be charged a $30 planning fee. If you would like me to create a custom individual itinerary outside of the group trip dates, the planning fee is $50.

  • IF you do not know who will be joining you on the trip, but plan to advertise yourself (you are welcome to make your own posts on my FB group), you will be charged a $30 planning fee for group trips. If you would like me to create a custom individual itinerary outside of the group trip dates, the planning fee is $50.

  • IF you do not know who will be joining you and would like me to advertise, you will be charged a $65 planning fee for group trips + marketing. If you would like me to create a custom individual itinerary outside of the group trip dates, the planning fee is $80.

    • This will be paid AFTER the courtesy post on my FB and Reddit to see if there is any interest

    • Facebook group members get a discounted fee of $45 and $65, respectively

  • If I am coordinating the trip in person, the group leader will also be charged my attendance fees.

Group Member Fees

A fee will be charged upon booking. The fee is up to my discretion, depending on the complexity of the trip, and will be approved by the group leader before moving forward to the booking process. If I am coordinating the group trip in person, extra fees may be charged
